The experimental Plus magazine of Time Inc. was published as an insert in “Architectural Forum”, with an impresive list of editors in its masthead:  the famous skyscraper designers William Lescaze, and Wallace K. Harrison, the MoMA art curator James Johnson Sweeney, and the promising figures of William Muschenheim and Stamo Papadaki. However, under the backlash from the US audience the magazine only survived for three issues before folding in 1939. It remains a unique attempt for a national circulating modernist periodical in the US context.
